Walking by the river in winter, there’s a quiet kind of beauty. The surface, often frozen or dusted with snow, appears still, almost unmoving. Yet beneath, the water continues to flow—strong, steady, and unaffected by the icy layer above. In many ways, this mirrors how we navigate life. Some people move through challenges like the flowing current, adapting and shifting unseen beneath the surface. Others find themselves more like the ice—solid, structured, and seemingly unmovable, but still impacted by the movement beneath. Sometimes, life asks us to be the flow—to adapt, move around obstacles, and trust in our ability to navigate what’s ahead. Other times, we find ourselves frozen in place, caught in resistance or self-protection, waiting for warmth to return. What Can We Learn from This?
